HOUSE PARTY 

House Party is a brand new weekly event brought to you by the people who have been Fag Tagging some of Sydney's best venues for years. Now we've set out eye on a brand new bar on Oxford Street to take over and make our new favourite place week in and week out.

Ruby Rabbit is the anointed venue, and House Party is where it will happen each Saturday. Think of it like this: your folks are out of town, you're looking after their rambling mansion for the weekend and you've got the keys to the alcohol cupboard.

House Party is designed to be something different and grown up for the strip. Come for an early pre-drink and start your Oxford Street adventure off with a cocktail and some new best friends. 

Think of the best house party you’ve ever been to, and then multiply that by ten. The ground floor is like the wine cellar, where you can crash in comfy booths and drink wine and cocktails. The middle floor is the bedroom. That is, if your bedroom included a DJ, a bar, moving lights and a heaving dancefloor. And the top floor’s the living room, with couches, chairs, an indoor/outdoor smoking balcony and a large bar. And just like a good house party, there’s food available until 3am.

Ruby Rabbit was recently gutted and re-built from the inside out, and is one of the most exciting things to hit Sydney’s gay scene in years. It's just down from Taylor Square at 231 Oxford Street. 

House Party Launch features some of your favourite DJs, three levels of fun and needs to be explored to be believed. Entry is $10 from 10pm to 3am.

A Taste of Courtney!

Exclusive dinner and show this Mardi Gras week with Australia’s most infamous drag superstar Courtney Act.

Oxford Street’s hottest new venue has just announced the perfect way to enjoy the week leading up to Sydney Mardi Gras: a limited edition dinner and show series at Ruby Rabbit’s brand new eatery featuring exclusive performances all night by Australian drag superstar Courtney Act.

A Taste of Courtney will run for four nights only from Monday February 27 to Thursday March 1 inclusive in Ruby Rabbit’s ground floor restaurant. This is the only chance to see Courtney up close and personal this Mardi Gras as she performs songs as you wine and dine on a three course meal created by an award-winning chef.

Fresh from Courtney’s sold out worldwide tour of her “Alien of Extraordinary Ability” that wowed guests like Adam Lambert, Jai Rodigeuz and Bob Mackie from LA to Sydney, Courtney is returning to Sydney from her new home of Hollywood for this brand new dinner series that is the perfect place for locals and Mardi Gras guests to experience the electricity of that week in a new way.

Each of the dinners begins at 7pm, in the most intimate setting, with only 35 seats available per night, with a set menu created by Ruby Rabbit’s Executive chef “Mark Proudfoot”  who has handcrafted  a selection of his signature dishes and infused it with his own range of oils .During this week he has  put together some of his  favourite dishes and made it part of the Mardi Gras experience. His love for food has been shown as he creates menus for 3 different levels.  Throughout each of the three courses Courtney Act will serenade you with songs from her sold out shows and career spanning close to a decade since she was plucked from Oxford Street to become a household name on Australian Idol.

The dinner and a show will run until 9:30pm each night, and also includes complimentary access to the top two levels of Ruby Rabbit’s special Mardi Gras Week bar upstairs that will be announced shortly. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the excitement of Sydney during Mardi Gras with your friends – and to make some new ones!
